The President of Tynwald attended the UK's National Service of Remembrance at The Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.
Laurence Skelly MLC, said: ‘It was an honour and a privilege to attend the National Service of Remembrance in London and to lay a wreath on behalf of the residents of the Isle of Man, remembering those from our Island who made the ultimate sacrifice and honouring their memory alongside representativesâ from Britain, the Commonwealth and the Crown Dependencies.’
The Isle of Man was first invited to attend the National Service of Remembrance in 2019; before then the Crown Dependencies were recognised during the Ceremony by the wreath laid on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.
