Burnt foodstuffs cause of kitchen fire

Fire crews tackled property fire in Peel on Saturday morning.

They responded to reports of smoke issuing from a property on Peveril Road at just before 8am.

A breathing apparatus team entered the property and discovered the cause of smoke logging to be from burnt foodstuffs left on a hob.

A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to remove the smoke from the property.

Crews were in attendance for approximately 90 minutes.
