School evacuated due to bomb threat

Police confirmed they dealt with a hoax bomb threat at a school yesterday.

Castle Rushen High School received an anonymous call at around 4pm claiming there was an explosive on the premises.

Most pupils had left the school at this time and a very small number of pupils and staff evacuated to a safe location.

Officers have identified the person responsible and the individual, who is local to the Island, will be 'dealt with appropriately'.

The School will be open as normal this morning.
