NCS flumes to open tomorrow - but repairs still continue

More than two years than scheduled - the flumes at the National Sports Centre will re-open to the public tomorrow.

But, the Manx Government has confirmed the work isn't quite finished.

The official opening had been scheduled for the start of the month but some issues were identified during the sign-off process – none of which affected safety.

A spokesperson said: "The majority of these have been resolved and a timeframe agreed with the contractor for the remaining works."

The new slides were tested at the weekend by children and members of a local swimming club.
