Service to mark Ellan Vannin tragedy

A service will be held later to remember the 35 people who lost their lives when a ship sank near Liverpool more than 100 years ago.
The SS Ellan Vannin's 21 crew and 14 passengers all died when the ship sank after leaving Ramsey on 3 December 1909.
Ramsey Town Commissioners will hold a short memorial service to commemorate the 112th anniversary.
It will take place at 6.30pm at the memorial plaque on West Quay.
