A weather warning is in force for snow and ice on the Isle of Man.
Forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office said wintry showers will affect the Island tonight, before gradually becoming more isolated during Wednesday. The showers will fall as hail or sleet at low levels giving temporary and slushy accumulations, but as hail, sleet or wet snow over the hills giving some slight accumulations, mainly above around 800FT.
These conditions will make driving difficult at times with road surfaces becoming slippery after any showers. There is also a risk of ice forming where any frozen deposits take time to melt away, or where road surface temperatures fall below freezing, with higher roads most at risk.
The warning will remain in force until 12pm tomorrow.
