Resurfacing work to take 4-6 weeks

Resurfacing work will begin on Palace Road and Empire Terrace in Douglas from next Monday.

The Department of Infrastructure says the work will take between four to six weeks to complete.

From Monday, Empire Terrace (from its junction with Castle Drive) will close to vehicular traffic. The lower section of Palace Road (up to the offices at Falcon Cliff) will also close.

The upper part of Palace Road (from Falcon Cliff to Victoria Road) will remain two way for the duration of the scheme.

A temporary 20mph speed limit will be in place.
