Ramsey Town Commissioners are reviewing their declarations of interest policy at the suggestion of a local resident.

 

The letter, which was brought to the commission at last week’s sitting, called for the board to ‘consider implementing a Register of Members’ Interests akin to those that exist for Tynwald members upon election..which must be updated on a regular basis’.

 

Clerk Tim Cowin explained that commissioners are open to the idea, but such a mechanism does already exist:
