Port Erin Commissioners donate iPads to Southlands Residential Care Home
Port Erin Commissioners has donated seven iPads to Southlands Residential Care Home. The iPads which were surplus to requirements having been replaced with newer models, were previously used by the former Board.
Chair of Port Erin Commissioners, Mr Godfrey Egee presented the iPads to Southlands residents on Friday 22 January.
Chair of Port Erin Commissioners, Mr Godfrey Egee said, “The Board was delighted to be able to make this donation to Southlands, which does a fantastic job caring for our elderly residents from Port Erin and further afield. With the recent lockdowns faced by Southlands during the recent spikes in COVID cases, these iPads will hopefully make things easier for residents to keep in touch with family & friends.”
Rebecca Dooley, Manager at Southlands said, “We were delighted to receive the call to offer the iPads which will be of great use to our residents to read news, books and most importantly, being able to contact their loved ones during these difficult times.”
