Mountain Road closes for repairs ahead of TT

The Mountain Road has been closed for six-weeks of repair works ahead of the Isle of Man TT.

Work will include the highway and footbath being full reconstructed at Stella Maris as well as line painting and the installation of TT signage.

Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall said: "These works are necessary to ensure the highway continues to be fit for purpose and is necessary to ensure that this year’s TT races can go ahead."

Highways will also carry out surface repairs and verge maintenance during the closure period.
