Appeal after assault in Ramsey

Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault in Ramsey.

The incident happened at around 6pm last Friday.

A young male is suspected to have been assaulted by an older male, on the playing fields at Bunscoill Rhumsaa.

The young male had reportedly been playing football with a group of his friends, when a group of older males have approached, seemingly with the intention of joining in with the game.

After a short time however, it is believed that an argument has broken out between the two groups; culminating in one of the older males assaulting the victim, namely by taking him to the ground, choking and spitting at him.

The alleged offender is described as being a white male, aged around 18 or 19 years old, with curly dark coloured hair.

This individual was reportedly wearing a Chelsea Football Club top and shorts at the time of the assault, and was in the company of two other teenagers and a young child.
