A Ramsey man who was recently evicted from his off-grid home could have paved the way for others wanting to adopt a similar lifestyle.

 

Dan Richardson, also known as ‘Squirrel Dan’, built his property on public land and without planning permission.

 

The settlement, which was in the parish of Garff, has now been dismantled and all materials placed in temporary storage with the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.

 

Minister Clare Barber gave Local Democracy Reporter Sarah Hendy an update on Dan’s circumstances:
