Queen's Platinum Jubilee: Set of commemorative coins launched

A set of commemorative coins marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee have been launched on the Isle of Man.

The Platinum Jubilee Fifty Pence Collection comprises five 50 pence coins, each featuring lines of text from the first verse of the British National Anthem, along with each of the Queen’s Beasts.

The Queen's Beasts consists of an heraldic beast supporting a shield bearing a badge or arms of a family associated with the ancestry of Queen Elizabeth II.

The packaging is in regal purple and includes text detailing Her Majesty, the Lord of Mann’s close relationship with the Isle of Man on the inside cover.

Copies of each coin will be placed in general circulation ahead of this year's TT races.
