A sea dip event will be held on the Island next month.
Listen and Ramsey Crookall have announced their SEA DIP FOR YOUR SANITY event will take place in Ramsey Bay at 8am on Saturday 14th May.
Everyone of all abilities are welcome and will be well looked after by the event volunteers and fellow dippers.
With the generous support of Ramsey Crookall, all funds raised for the event and 100% of the event registration fee (£10 for adults and £5 for children) will remain on the Island and enable Isle Listen to continue its vital services in schools, the workplace and community.
Joanna Crookall, at Ramsey Crookall, said: “We are so pleased to be part of this event as many people are using sea dipping to support their mental health and combat loneliness, which is the theme for year’s Mental Health Awareness Week. Many participants in the inaugural Sea Dip for your Sanity in October said that they had enjoyed the dip but more importantly had met some lovely, supportive people. It is these relationships that are so important to us and offer us support and encouragement at those times when we are feeling low. Ramsey Crookall views the support of mental health as vital and therefore are very excited and honoured to support this event.’
The Inaugural Sea Dip for your Sanity event was held in October 2021 in Port Erin and attracted over 300 sea dippers.
