The introduction of a new parking system at the Island's airport has been postponed.
A new cashless system was due to be implemented from today.
Tim Glover MHK, Member of the Department of Infrastructure with responsibility for Ports, said: ‘While the new system was to be introduced today, a decision has been reached to delay the launch for a short period. The Department is grateful to those who have shared constructive feedback – officers will now be using that to ensure a smooth transition.’
People will have to pay by using the RingGo app - which has been rated as poor by users in the UK - with 94% of Trust Pilot users rating the app as Bad.
Meanwhile, Middle MHK Stu Peters will ask the Minister for Infrastructure – How an unsuitable barrier system was previously purchased for the airport car park, and what it cost.
Tynwald will sit from 10:30am.
