TT 2022: Three riders airlifted to hospital in second practice session

Three riders were airlifted to hospital after seperate crashes during last night's second practice session.

Sam West came off at Pump House near Laurel Bank. He was reported conscious with hand and leg injuries. West was airlifted to Noble’s Hospital.

The session was red flagged just before 8pm after his machine caught fire.

Ilja Cajouw came off at the 27th Milestone. He was reported conscious, airlifted to Noble’s Hospital and has since been discharged.

Michael Sweeney came off at the 11th Milestone, reported conscious with possible arm and leg injuries, airlifted to Noble’s Hospital.

Elsewhere, James Chawke came off his machine at the Railway Pub and Jonathan Perry came off at Cruickshanks - both were treated for minor injuries.
