Queen's Platinum Jubilee: Beacons lit around Isle of Man

Beacons were lit across the Isle of Man last night to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Last night, Douglas Borough Council hosted an event at St Ninian's Church Tower.

Celebrating the Queen’s unprecedented 70 years on the throne, beacons were lit in each of the capital cities of the Commonwealth with the Principal Beacon lighting held at Buckingham Palace.

Beacons were also lit at private events in Port Erin, Ballasalla, Douglas Head and Slieau Lhost.
