TT 2022: Fan fined and banned from driving for speeding

A TT visitor has been fined and banned from the Island's road after breaking the speed limit and failing to stop for police.

58-year-old Richard Thomas from Leicestershire was recorded riding his BMW motorcycle at 87mph on Sunday.

Douglas Courthouse heard heard he was initially pulled over in Sulby, he rode off before police could speak to him.

Mr Thomas was later arrested at his Homestay accommodation in Andreas.

He was fined £371 and disqualified for 14 days.

Thomas was also ordered to pay £125 in court costs.
