Two swimmers were rescued after they got into difficulty on Saturday evening.
Lifeboat crews were called to Peel Bay to give assistance to the two visitors who were here for TT.
The alarm was raised by a friend who was keeping an eye on them from the beach.
Both casualties were found to be showing symptoms of hypothermia.
Paramedics treated them and at the scene and they were given all clear to head back to their campsite.
Launch Authority Stuart Blackley commended the “quick thinking” of their friend who made the call to the Coastguard and highlighted “how different the outcome could have been for the swimmers.
“They were extremely lucky on this occasion. It reinforces the need for all to respect the water when spending time around the coast and the value of the lifesaving service our RNLI volunteers provide."
