Inflation rises to 9.2 per cent

There has been sharp rise in inflation on the Island.
The Consumer price index, stands at 9.2% for June 2022, up from 8.1% in May 2022.
This rise is in large part due to a significant increase in food prices between May and June, adding to previous rises in energy and travel costs.
'Transport' remains the largest contributor to the rate of inflation, providing a 3.2% increase in the overall 12-month rate.
