Flights between Blackpool and Isle of Man could return

Commerical flights from Blackpool Airport to the Isle of Man could be reinstated.

Blackpool Council said discussions were ongoing regarding flights to the island.

It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson suggested the airport should reopen for holidaymakers.

In a blog, council leader Lynn Williams said: "Our Airport board will continue to ensure that we attract and create good jobs and contracts for the airport to secure its future, to include ongoing discussions about flights to the Isle of Man."
