Temporary hose pipe ban comes into force

A temporary hose pipe has come into force across the Island today.

It follows an extremely dry period and an increase in usage over recent weeks.

Manx Utilities said it had observed an unusually high demand for water.

Anyone found to be breaking the rules on Island could face a fine of up to £2,000.
