Witness appeal to alleged assault

Police are investigating an assault which occurred last night.
It happened at around 11pm between Summerland and Port Jack.
Officer said it is believed to have been witnessed by members of the public, some of whom stopped.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Headquarters on on 631212 quoting the reference number 97/37514/22.
