Liz Truss has been confirmed as the new Conservative leader - and will be the next British Prime Minister.
She won the leadership contest with more than 81-thousand votes from Tory members - compared to 60-thousand for her rival Rishi Sunak.
Ms Truss faces a daunting to-do list - with spiralling energy prices and the cost-of-living crisis the top priorities. But she'll also need to deal with ongoing public sector strikes and the war in Ukraine.
She's promised a 'bold plan' to cut taxes and grow the economy - and insists she'll 'deliver' on household bills.
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer's warned she's 'out of touch' - and says there's 'no justification' for not freezing gas and electricity bills.
Tomorrow she'll travel to Balmoral for an audience with the Queen, before returning to Downing Street as PM.a
