Further delay to cannabis dispensing service

A further delay to the launch of the cannabis dispensing service on the Isle of Man has been announced.

The Department of Health and Social Care said it was due to outstanding technical issues between the Department and the UK Home Office which have not been fully resolved.

A Manx Government spokesperson said: "The Department is working to find a solution to satisfy the Home Office with regards to the movement of CBMP products to the Island – as all parties must adhere to duties and declarations under the UN convention."

"Once this issue is resolved Karson’s Pharmacy will be able to formalise arrangements with UK wholesalers and commence the service"
