Body found in search for missing woman

Police have confirmed the body of a missing woman has been found on a beach.

The body was found on Groudle Beach following an extensive search in the early hours of this morning.

The Coastguard were involved in the search along with the emergency services.

In a statement, Isle of Man Constabulary said: "We are sorry to now report that the body of a deceased female has been recovered in relation to that search.

The family have thanked all those involved in the search. We will not be releasing any further information and would ask that the privacy of the family is respected at this time."
