Chris Bass has been sacked as Manager of FC Isle of Man.
In a statement made on their website and social media, Chairperson of the club Gillian Christian said, “It is never easy to make a decision such as this, and it is with a very heavy heart that we have decided to make this change. We will be forever grateful to Chris for all his hard work and his part in leading the team to last season’s successes. He has committed an incredible amount of time to the club, which is hugely appreciated and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.”
Head of Football, Paul Jones will take over as interim manager until the end of the season, at which point the club will seek a permanent replacement.
The Ravens have had a tough season after their promotion to the North West Counties Football League Premier Division this season. They have lost 10 out of 17 games and are 18th in the league after their 3-1 defeat to Northwich Victoria at the weekend.
But the outgoing Manager Chris Bass Senior said that he didn't believe the club would be facing relegation this season but he has been disappointed in recent results and think some of those games could have gone either way.
