Standard Bank Isle of Man has jointly donated £500 to the Isle of Man Foodbank in a bid to support the local community and environment.
The donation was a result of a recycling exercise undertaken by the bank. It saw the bank’s ‘UPS’ kit - an uninterruptable power supply which powered the organisation’s computer network - recycled by on-Island recycling and waste management specialists, Mann Waste Recycling. The equipment’s resulting scrap value was rounded up to £500 by Mann Waste Recycling and donated to the charity.
The Isle of Man Foodbank was set up in December 2013 and has seen increased use in recent years.
