The Henry Bloom Noble Library in Douglas is ‘open to everybody’.
As part of the ‘Warm Space Scheme’ the library is running a pre-school story time group and has organised drop in sessions for residents who need help from Manx Utilities.
It also has a foodbank box for donations.
Borough librarian Jan Macartney says the library ‘is a warm, safe haven’ for people to go to and visitors will not be asked ‘intrusive or difficult questions’.
The library is offering a coffee morning every Friday from 9am to 12 noon along with games and children’s activities.
It’ s closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27, and 28 December and 2 January.
