An Amber weather warning for snow and ice has been extended until tomorrow.
Forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office said snow showers will continue to affect the island with the risk area extending to the south of the island as well as elsewhere. Further 1-3cm accumulation of snow likely especially at night with more over the higher ground. For low-levels showers may start to fall as sleet rather than snow.
Icy stretches expected to develop through this evening and overnight in areas away from the strong northwest wind, as well as higher ground above around 500 FT. Risk of ice forming also in low-lying areas sheltered from the wind.
The warning will remain in force until midday on Wednesday.
