Work set to begin on £2.9 million water main upgrade

Work on upgrading the water main from Sandygate to Jurby Coast Road will begin next month.

Manx Utilties said the project is estimated to cost £2.9 million and will include the installation of a new 2,400 metre long dedicated trunk main to Jurby and the construction of a new Service Reservoir with a booster pump system currently subject to planning permission.

Approximately 500 properties, the Prison and Jurby Industrial Estate will benefit from the new main and service reservoir, once completed.

The work is due to commence on 6 February 2023 and completed in August 2023.
