Warning over scam phone calls

Police are warning of scam phone call which has been circulating.

Officer said the scam call has been from a Manx Telecom number - 0795166924.

A force statement said: "The scammer has attempted to get the victim to download a Team Viewer App onto their computer in order to gain access to the Victim's computer."

"The Scammer has stated that they were with Manx Telecom and that they needed to access the computer to be able to look at the My MT App in order to organise payments as there has been a payment issue."
 
Anyone who recieves suspicious calls is urged to hang up.
