Douglas Council says residents have been receiving phone calls ‘impersonating’ staff.

 

It says people are being contacted through a UK phone number and requesting access to properties for ‘maintenance reasons’.

 

The local authority says the police are aware and is urging people to be ‘vigilant’ if asked to give away personal details or information about their houses.
