RSE Lessons: Education Minister to update Tynwald investigation

The Education Minister will update the progress of an independent investigation of the RSE curriculum on the Isle of Man.

Julie Edge will give a statement during Tuesday's sitting of Tynwald.

She said: ‘I would like to thank Mr President for this opportunity to set the facts straight following the first part of the RSE investigation. I look forward to updating Honourable Members and all those listening in.’

The teaching of the curriculum was introduced last September but was paused earlier this month following concerns from parents and teachers about certain material and themes being taught.

Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has ordered an urgent review on sex education lessons in the UK.
