Appeal for unwanted sandbags to be returned

The Department of Infrastructure is asking for unwanted sandbags to be returned.

Various flood defences have been stood down.

The DOI has appealed for any unwanted sandbags are returned to the locations where they were collected from.

Sandbags that are returned will be restacked on pallets and made ready for future use.
People are welcome to retain sandbags if they have somewhere to store them.
