Chris Thomas has been sacked from his role as Minister for Infrastructure.
The Manx Government confirmed the sacking in brief statement on Monday morning
In a statement, the Chief Minister Alfred Cannan said: ‘I want to thank Chris for his contribution. I have no doubt that he will continue to input effectively on public policy debates and I hope that we can work together again in the future.’
"The Chief Minister will assume Ministerial responsibility for the Department in the short term."
The department has continually been plagued with controversial problems including Douglas Promenade works and the overbudget Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool.
