Manx Care’s Family Planning service is to temporarily relocate to within the Genito-Urinary Medicine (GUM) unit at Noble’s Hospital.
The Family Planning Service, which is currently based at the Central Community Health Centre (CCHC) will move from August 14 for three months. The temporary move is “necessary to ensure adequate staffing of the service” said Manx Care.
All contraception clinics booked through sexual health will move to Noble’s Hospital during this time. GUM clinic appointments should remain unchanged, however Manx Care added that if there are any changes, it will be communicated appropriately.
To ensure patients know the right location for appointments Manx Care have said patients will receive a text message and follow-up courtesy phone call if their appointment falls after 14 August.
Anyone who has further questions about this change can contact the Manx Care Advice and Liaison Service Team via email mcals@gov.im or call on +44 1624 642642.
