More myths for the Steam Packet to bust

Earlier today (August 25), social media added more work to the Steam Packet Company's 'MythBusters' team, as it was reported by a news outlet that the Manxman was experiencing engine difficulties and that the vessel seemed to be in half power mode.

Although a minor issue arose during the passage, The Steam Packet Company told Energy FM that the vessel was back up to speed in less than 20 minutes.

The Steam Packet Company said that: "There was a minor issue with Manxman during passage to Heysham today, which meant the vessel reduced speed. Engineers investigated and quickly rectified, with the vessel being back up to speed in less than 20 minutes. Passengers on board were kept informed at all times."
