Fines totalling £13,340 have been issued at the Magistrate’s Income Tax Court held on August 23.
The fines were issued to 14 individuals and five businesses for income tax and national insurance related offences.
Three Corporates were fined in total of £6,440 due to the failure to pay Income Tax Instalment Payments and/or Class 1 National Insurance Contributions by the due date.
A total amount of £6,100 was fined between 13 individuals for failure to submit Personal Income Tax Return Form(s) at the correct time.
One Corporate was issued a £300 fine as it failed to submit Employer’s Annual Return(s) at the correct time.
Failure to comply with a Notice to submit Accounts in support of a Tax Return resulted in one Corporate being fined £500.
