The Dressage element is done and dusted for the Manx duo representing Great Britain at the World Carriage Driving Championships in France.
Nicola Pimbblet completed her dressage test this morning on a 61.5 which currently leaves her in 40th provisionally.
Pimbblet last represented Team GB at Kronenbery in 2021, but has never competed at Haras Du Pin, France.
The past year she has spent training at Riant Equestrian Centre in Holland, under the eyes of Claudio Fumagalli and Mieke Van Tergouw, the training has left her feeling more “prepared than we ever have”.
Meanwhile, Libby Priest drove her test yesterday and received a dressage score of 67.85 leaving her currently in 69th provisionally.
Priest said she was really pleased with the horses and that the “boy’s worked in lovely and entered the test really positively”.
However a few little mistakes were costly and she felt it was a “bit of a harsh mark but everyone was marked hard today so will move forward to the next phase”.
As for any event ran over three days, the competition is still young and there are still two days of competing left where quite literally ‘anything can happen’.
Team GB currently sits in 8th position going in to tomorrow's 'Marathon' phase.
