Noble’s Hospital is “outperforming” all other providers on a key section of the National Hip Fracture Database according to Manx Care.
A report published the year (based on hip fractures in 2022 show that Noble’s is “top of the league” for Key Performance Indicator (KPI) 2, which represents the Prompt Surgery Indicator.
In terms of other KPIs, out of 169 providers, Noble’s is 8th for KPI 6 (discharge home), 9th for KPI 4 (Prompt mobilisation) and 15th for KPI 0 (Admission).
Ian Wright, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, said: “I’d like to thank the whole team, who have pulled together to ensure that hip fracture care at Noble’s is such high quality, reflected in our performance on the National Database.
“The published report reflects work done in 2022. We’re already seeing an improved performance this year across the other key indicators such that next year I hope we’ll be towards the ‘top of the league’ overall. It’s excellent news for our patients and important to acknowledge the hard work of our colleagues.”
