A yellow weather warning has been issued for coastal overtopping.
Forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office said the warning would be in place from 9pm tonight until 2pm on Saturday.
Fresh to strong southeast winds during the next two high tides are likely to cause minor overtopping of waves with a risk of some debris in exposed areas. Tide times are Friday 11:20pm and Saturday 11:45am, with the areas most at risk being Douglas Promenade, Laxey Promenade and Ramsey Promenade.
There is a small risk of inner harbour flooding affecting the Tongue in Douglas, and it is also recommended that Castletown flood defences be deployed as a precaution.
Forecasters said further coastal overtopping warnings are likely to be issued over the weekend.
