Laxey flood alleviation works to begin in mid November

JCK Limited has been appointed to undertake surface water drainage works in the vicinity of Isle of Man Transports Snaefell Mountain Railway track near to Dumbell's aka "Ham and Egg" Terrace, Laxey.

The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) says that the new infrastructure will link to the recently installed drainage system that crosses under Mines Road and discharges into Laxey River near the Glen Mooar housing estate.

To facilitate these works PROW 412 (Mines to Baldhoon) will be closed to all users from November 13 until no later than January 6.

Parking on the Mines Road Coach Park will be suspended from next Monday (November 6) for the set up of a site compound. This will be in situ for the duration of the scheme until no later than January 14.

Other parking on Mines Road won't be affected nor will access for the residents of Dumbell Terrace or customers visiting Whim Boutique or Just Enough.
