The Department of Enterprise cannot provide a date for when residents can register as homestay providers for TT 2024.
Minister for Enterprise, Tim Johnston MHK said that his Department is “committed to ensuring the registration process is opened in early 2024 and will naturally contact previous registrations direct to invite them to reapply”.
The Department has commenced an open tender process for 2024 onwards to operate the Homestay scheme on behalf of the Department.
The process is still ongoing and is a live process. Through the Expressions of Interest process, only one supplier came forward and as such the Department has been negotiating with the potential supplier to see if reasonable terms can be secured.
He said a formal announcement will be made when the registration process restarts, with the Visit Agency contacting all those on the registered list from 2023 directly to inform them of the new supplier.
Adding: “Therefore whilst I cannot provide a date for when registrations will actually commence."
