Earlier in the week a public meeting about the proposed onshore windfarm at Earystane and Scard was held.
Chief Minister Alfred Cannan and former Manx Utilities (MU) Chair, Tim Crookall MHK were on a panel, along with officers from the authority.
Energy FM spoke to Tim Crookall MHK who said that MU are “happy to talk to anybody in the industry and look at any offers”.
He also added that the authority “will look and work with privateers in the business”.
When asked why the Manx public should now have faith in Manx Utilities to deliver renewable energy, Crookall said that the Government “knew” it was going to have to go to “cables or something else”, as the life expectancy of gas and diesel turbines draws to a close.
Crookall says this project “is part and parcel of the something else story”.
