Memorial piano installed at Sea Terminal

The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) has supported the installation of a public piano in the Sea Terminal departures hall in memory of local musician Cody Atzori, who died suddenly in 2021 aged just 17.

Funds raised by the Atzori family were donated to charity SoundCheck Isle of Man, which acquired a piano that was then restored and decorated in memory of Cody.

With the help of SoundCheck Isle of Man, the Department was approached by the family to see if it could support Cody’s dream and accommodate the instrument in a public space.

The team were pleased to make this happen and hope the public enjoy the piano installed in Cody’s memory.

The piano is now accessible in the Sea Terminal, after its official launch on Saturday morning.
