Yellow warning issued for heavy rain

A yellow weather warning for heavy rain has been issued on the Isle of Man.

Forecasters at Ronaldsway Met Office said the warning would come into force at 10am and run until 4pm.

Outbreaks of rain will turn heavy and persistent from mid-morning, widely giving 10-20mm across the island, with a risk of 20-40mm over higher ground. 

This will likely lead to difficult driving conditions, with areas of standing water as well as a risk of localised flooding.
