A group of volunteers have launched a website to seek a "positive outcome" for the people of the Isle of Man with ongoing issues with Isle of Man Energy, formerly known as Manx Gas.
The group have decided to take independent action and launched the dedicated website, Manx Gas Info, as a starting point for all help and support for members of the community that find themselves in need of it.
The people behind Manx Gas Info said that they have been “persistently informed that this situation is 'under control' by the Office of Fair Trading yet as of December 2023, the island is inundated with stories telling us otherwise and your news organisation has reported directly on a number of them recently”.
In Manx Gas Info's opinion a full investigation is needed of the gas supplier and “why they have been allowed to continually exploit the Manx public with inaccurate billing, disconnections, poor customer services and a serious dereliction of their duty of care”.
