Last House of Keys sitting for 2023 underway

Todays (December 19) House of Keys sitting is set to be a busy one.

The sitting will cover three hot topics:

An urgent question from Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas about the Steam Packet and the ongoing dispute over terms and conditions; it is also worth noting that yesterday (December 19) the Nautilus Union members voted in favour of strikes.

Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan attempts to seek support for the Gas Regulation (Amendment) Bill 2023, following the billing issues and gas customers being cut off.

Finally, the Isle of Man Constitution Bill has reached the clauses stage - which would see the bishop’s voting rights in the Legislative Council and Tynwald removed.
