Portofino Restaurant to close

Portofino Restaurant, based on Douglas Quayside, has ceased trading.

The decision to cease trading was not an easy decision for owner, Mario Ciappelli, he said its due to rising costs such as “ingredients, labour, overheads, coupled with the unpredictable nature of the hospitality business”.

If anyone is interested in the lease at Portofino it is for sale and the owners are happy to discuss the opportunity with those who have a genuine interest.
